Bonus deadline: Sunday, February 12th at 11:59 PM EST.
The next update will be posted early Monday the 13th so that we can get back on schedule and not post when the quality of my writing is jkasjlgjkljalg. Missing that one day earlier this week made it difficult to stay on the ridiculous schedule that makes Everything Islands work so smoothly, and rather than shifting the schedule around, affecting all upcoming weeks and events I have planned out, it seems easier to just wait a weekend and be back on schedule.
On the bright side, this means that low tide is going to last a long amount of time instead of a short amount of time. Since a lot of people seemed excited about low tide, even potentially exploring low tide on the island they’re not currently on, this should give you twice as long to explore! Also this confirms that how the tide works makes absolutely no sense.
That being said, the haiku was a ton of fun so during this downtime I’m proposing another challenge:
Draw your character! Whether it’s digital, by hand, scanning it, taken a picture of via phone camera, doesn’t matter. The person whose drawing is selected to be the winner will receive a informational post about their character that should highlight some of what they’ve done, but also give you insight into what variables I’m tracking, which normally you don’t get to see! The catch? You are only allowed to spend up to 30 seconds drawing your character! If your character looks too rendered or like too much time went into it, you won’t win! That way the emphasis is shifted from artistic ability to creativity and fun :)
