anthcul158 set off to explore this cave to see how it was different from the cave on the other island, and found two things.  First, she found another person from the islands, Destin, valiant leader of the Keepers of Elysium.  Though goofy in nature, he gave off an aura of confidence and strength, which is to say, it was apparent that he was a great warrior.  Second, the group found a red dragon in the cave, and Bob the Blob did not seem all to happy to see the dragon, which anthcul158 picked up on.  The dragon didn’t immediately notice them, which perhaps was for the best.

After wandering through the cave system for what seemed like forever, he emerged back into the outside world, near a group of mountains.  Looking around and exploring this new area carefully, he stumbled upon an armored bear and a mongoose, but made sure to keep his distance.  The bear was wearing armor, which he innately knew was incredibly powerful, and not worth engaging.  Carefully, he tracks the bear and mongoose at a close enough distance to notice them returning to what looked like an entirely eco-friendly base with some familiar faces from back when everyone was on the initial island.  He was pretty sure this was the GREEN TEAM he had heard so much about.

LooseLips continues to gather resources, keeping in touch with the Green Team as one of the islanders who spent a good bit of his time keeping up with the guards and the other teams.  Unfortunately, GreenTeamLeader didn’t seem to think the two’s intentions aligned, and declined LooseLips’s offer for the time being.

Vaclav manages to scoop up some cranberries as he approaches Dann Tuggles, but Dann Tuggles seems to preoccupied gathering ore to respond, which is odd.  Vaclav decides to bolster his [combat] a bit by punching trees while he waited for the oncoming zmobies.

captainawesome scoured the jail cell for any details or objects that might be of any use, leaving no stone unturned.  …in fact, pretty much the only object in the jail cell was an unturned stone.  There were small splinters of wood laying in the ground, probably from the wooden frame of the bed that was bolted to the wall he rested on.  The bars seemed to be made of youcan’tbreakthem-ium, which was pretty unfortunate, and the lock wasn’t so much of a lock as it was level across the room that was pulled, releasing the gate that was presumably locked shut otherwise.  There were roughly 1562 blocks of stone in his cell, and there was a tiny rat in the corner that looked rather sick and old.  Also, his bed had a pellow, which was exactly what it sounded like.  He even confirmed it with a guard when the guard had given it to him.

“Alright, here’s your pellow.”

“…you mean pillow, right?”

“Yeah, pellow.  The thing you sleep on.”

“You keep saying pellow, not pillow.  It’s a pillow, right?”

“Listen, do you want the pellow or not?”

Begrudgingly, he accepted the pellow, which looked exactly like a pillow except that he was almost 100% positive that it cackled at him with a sinister laugh when he wasn’t looking, and he didn’t want to put his head anywhere near.  Other than that, there wasn’t anything in the cell;  The guards came by twice a day to give him a bowl of water and a stale loaf of bread, which they slid under the gate in the small gap that existed there.

RedSunEternal puts the finishing touches on his halberd, noting that the craftsmanship involved was incredible and that the hard work really had paid off.  Happy with the results, he explored the caves, careful not to get lost as he made a mental map of the caverns, but they simply  extend too far for him to adaquately explore them in just one day.  Still, the caves are fairly easy to map;  fundamentally, one extends slightly north west, one extends slight south east, and one extends far north east.

anthcul158 and Bob the Blob decide to venture deep into the forest.  At the end of the forest, they emerge on what looks like the same island, but after consulting with a guard, they realize is instead Eastern Bumfuck Island;  Somehow the two forests are mysteriously connected.  The new island looks exactly the same, but the cave might hold something different than the slime kingdom, and the team the Keepers of Elysium is docked nearby.

Mike Burns, horrified at what had happened to Hawkers, who seemed not all that worried about it, made sure to heal him with a hug.  Hey, it worked in Super Mario RPG, it can work in – YEAH I DON’T KNOW HOW HE HUGS A GHOST EITHER.  Regardless, once Hawkers is all rested, Mike Burns decides to focus on combat, to protect his ghostly guy gam if anything like this should happen in the future.

Vaclav manages to find a tree with a little difficulty, as the island is mostly covered in treeless steppes.  Once atop the tree, he notices that in the rocky steps (not steppes) of the island, Dann Tuggles has started constructing a basic shelter, as well as a forge for which to, well, forge things.  He see Dann Tuggles poking around the rocky steppes, collecting various ore, and decides that if he wants to seek shelter on this island, Hobo Dann may be his best bet.

LooseLips continues to collect resources, though when The Awesome Squad starts looking for their boat his does take notice to the situation.

As captain awesome continues to kick chalk lines in, presumably giving someone a really hard time in the future, a bunch of guards show up with weapons, and look not too pleased.  At first he tries to be nice to the guards, but they quickly surround him and over-power his non-masturbatory side, knocking him unconscious and dragging him off of the island.  The next time he would awaken, he was in a small stone jail cell and had a terrible headache.

While the teamless proceeded in their tasks, they could feel a chill run down their spines as elsewhere on the islands things were not quite as routine.

RedSunEternal kept working on his weapon, refining out the best of details.  Striving for perfection was no easy task, however, and as he made his progress on the weapon his mind wandered to better, more awesome things.  Mostly involving slam, and jam.

captainawesome continued to kick the chalk off of the island, thinking this was a great idea.  Most people would’ve agreed with him, but whoever put the chalk there undoubtedly probably disagreed pretty wholeheartedly.  captainawesome did notice the entire seperate paragraph pointing him out, so there was absolutely no way he would go unnoticed.  Hopefully this wouldn’t have any horrible, story related consequences.

LooseLips continued to gather materials, noting that he could make about one recipe’s worth of materials in a given day.  At this rate, he should be finished in just a handful of days.

While Dann Tuggles filled his box with water, carrying it up to his shelter and preparing his wooden tools, he felt a sense of pride and accomplishment in his work.  Ores, he assumed, would be in any of the steps if he simply mined into them.  To confirm this, he did a bit of prospecting and was positive he’d be able to find what he needed.

As Hawkers89 floated back to Mike Burns, he arrived very badly injured.  Worried, Mike Burns tries to help Hawkers89 but isn’t really sure how to.  Mike Burns notes that his pack has a shovel, a surfboard, and some ink, but any other miscellany he had found along the way had possibly gotten lost during his travels – at least he had what mattered – his good friend, Hawkers89.

Ryu89 finished swimming to the island, feeling a bit stronger for the trip.  Upon pulling himself into the island that is entirely a mountain, underwater, that has been hollowed out and is an excellent place to mine and such, he notices a golem working on building a forge inside of the mountain, as well as several mini-golems.

anthcul158 explored the island, but didn’t want to wander too far into the spiral of the woods.  There wasn’t too much on the island to explore outside of the cave and the spiral forest, so she decided to try and approach the slime king in the friendliest manner she could, considering neither spoke the other’s language.  The slime king seemed infinitely amused that someone would try and be friendly with it, and blobbed up and down happily.  As a king over nothing but slime, he offered her a gift for her kindness, the only gift he could – small tiny blob to protect her on her journey, and learn from her so that maybe one day the slimes and the people would be able to communicate.

RedSunEternal spent all day slowly working on the perfect halberd, making sure not to rush the process and to work on the strength of the weapon’s metal first and foremost, crafting the fine details later when he had time.  He could finish the weapon at any time, but the longer he continued to refine it, the better he knew it would be.  UnfinishedDestiny was working on his [mysterystuff] while climbing to the top of the mountain, revealing the room inside with a solved puzzle which was still a pretty interesting place.

Eating a piece of candy, LooseLips gathered the rest of the metal, thinking long and hard about how to make explosives without the ship’s science station.  Figuring that he could probably come up with something that involved a metal shell, some compressed air and fire, he wasn’t exactly sure how he was going to manufacture such things without the ship’s help.  Still, it gave him a bit of better understanding about [science].

While Ryu89 started swimming to a presumably less horrifying island, captain awesome kept kicking the chalk marking on his islands while walking around.  Mike Burns couldn’t make a dent in the pillar, and decided to swim back from the pillar to the main island, though the curious addition of several new people and a ship make him very cautious and on-guard.  anthcul158 poked her head into the dungeon, only to find that it was somehow the lair to a large pile of slime with a crown on top.  Not entirely sure what it was, she decided not to immediately aggravate it and instead had the guard show her where the other island with the spiral forest on it was.

That night, as JohnnyViral was walking past LooseLips, Hawkers89 decided to strike out at JohnnyViral, taking control of his body.  Once inside, JohnnyViral started acting really strange;  For starters, he gripped the front of his clothes and tugged, not really accomplishing much.  Secondly, he grabbed himself inappropriately while walking towards LooseLips, and finally he let out a bunch of muffled sounds from inside of his gas mask that were pretty impossible to hear.

Some of the islanders were working on gathering materials and crafting with goals in mind.  RedSunEternal spent his day collecting miscellaneous ore for his upcoming forging.  LooseLips managed to gather enough rock for twice his recipe, and enough wood for both the wood and fire requirement, but it was going to take him another day to get the metal and he wasn’t quite sure what to do about the air – how would he “put” air into the machine?  Perhaps he should ask some of the people who owned the ship.  Dann Tuggles puts the finishing touches on his forge, then gathers assorted shapes and sizes of wood.  If his collection of wood was an RPG party, he noted that it would be well rounded and versatile.  Instead, he just had a bunch of sticks.

Other islanders were working on bettering themselves.  anthcul158 explored the island, building a bit of [agility] and [strength].  The island had a cave to one side of it, and at the end had a spiral forest that seemed to swirl inwards, trees getting tighter and tighter.  For some reason, this seemed oddly familiar,  but more importantly she gained the [right to name it].  UnfinishedDestiny explores the island, but it isn’t any different than what he’s read on the map.  Slightly bummed, he does manage to spark a couple of arcs of electricity up at the sky, which completely startles him as this burst of actual power wasn’t entirely expected.  Vaclav improves the performance [arts], while specifically focusing on music that may or may not have something to do with zmobies, their threat a permanent presence in his mind.  captain awesome manages to get [all of the strength] in his one arm, which is now comically bigger than his other arm.  Satisfying, he worked on digging a hole, but noted that the island was rather crummy for digging and he didn’t really make much progress in the hard ground.  When he switched to the sand, he got through the sand, then hit hard ground.  Knave worked on improving his [strength], exploring and enjoying the various aspects of the island.  He pressed “W” and noticed that the flora and fauna was in perfect balance on his island.  There might’ve been way too many albatross, but for some reason he didn’t mind, even though they were atrocious.

As Ryu explored the inner ring of the island, diving down he found that the ring wasn’t the deepest, but the entire bottom of the ring was littered with… dead crabs and octopi?  The water in the center was murky and bloody, and very unpleasant, and he is quite sure he doesn’t really want to see it during low tide.

Hawkers opens a psychic link with Mike Burns using their [friendship], then floats over to Oregon island.  Mike Burns spends a lot of his day trying to climb the pillar of Pillar Island, but as described, it is obnoxiously smooth and tall, and he doesn’t really get anything accomplished.  Still, he is rather surprised when a giant flying ship parts the clouds and lands(?) on the edge of the top of the pillar high, high above him.  It was pretty outrageous.

Leocrow complains to the guard about the map, and the guard says, “Well I don’t know why the map hasn’t been updated, but I don’t see what’s so confusing.  You’re just right here,” he said, pointing to the island below Tuggles Island.  “How is that confusing?”

Blinking at the map, Leocrow also notices that anthcul158 is on this island, which really doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense to him.

The day was full of exploration for everyone else on the islands! Unfinished Destiny made a trek back to the initial island, but noticed that it was filled with dead people, and the tide was getting higher by the hour.  Sprinting, he managed to get down to Dragon Roost Island before the tide changes, increasing his [agility].  Knave concluded that the crayon only let him color things purple, but noted that this was still pretty much the best thing he could think of.  Especially since nobody else on any of the islands had a crayon!  He practically had a monopoly on coloring.  Enjoying his sexy new home, and his home away from home, Knave notes that the small island seems to be part forest, which was great for hammocking, and partly sunk by the tide of ocean around it, which seemed pretty odd.  He figures it’s worth giving a name, but it’d be pretty annoying to click on the map so the name would sort of be an Island of Free Ballin’ internal secret.

As Ryu89 explores the island, he decides to poke his head into a few of the hilly holes.  Not far down, he notices that the holes are filled with what look like giant crabs, which are thankfully sleeping.  Careful not to disturb them, Ryu89 sneaks away to the other island, which completes the ring connecting the two island.  This island is much smaller, or presumably a lot more underwater, and has a whole bunch of strange coral looking structures off to the side of it.  Having explored the island, he gains the [right to name it].  RedSunEternal sets off to explore the caves of the island, which all seem interwoven, but it appears that they are intentionally very confusing and misleading.  As he walks around, he swears he can hear voices off in the distance, but no matter how hard he tries, he can’t manage to find his way to them without some sort of a map.  Frustrating, he decides to focus on the positive aspects of exploring the mountain – it had several abandoned camps inside of it, one or two which were adjacent a forge, and he was definitely surrounded by a good bit of veins of ore.

While working on his lop-sided [strength], captainawesome explores the island.  The island seems to be made entirely of a molten rock,  with small rivers of lava very very slowly pouring down from the highest point – but it isn’t a volcano.  It seems odd to him that thin underground rivers were emptying lava near the ocean or into sand bars, slowly, but in an infinite loop.  The island also seems to be covered in … chalk, as if someone was drawing lines all across the thing, perhaps for excavation purposes?  Though you’re not sure the King will even let it show up on the map, you decide you’ve earned the [right to name it].  Leocrow decides to spend his time exploring while doing fist pumps.  While he looks like a douche doing them, it was needed apparently in order to ensure that his [strength] increased while exploring otherwise non-strength intensive terrain.  Who really knows how this all works?  Not too far into the cave, Leocrow realizes that the cave somehow belongs to something dangerous that is in fact still occupying the cave.  With his maximumized agility, Leocrow decides to sneak around the cave some, eventually coming across a big, red dragon.  Turns out this island is just riddled with RPG cliches, since obviously every game needs at least one dragon.  Not immediately committed to fighting the dragon, Leocrow then sneaks back out of the cave, and into the woods.  After walking for what seemed like forever, he noticed that the trees were no longer spiraling inwards, but instead were somehow spiraling back outwards.  Upon exiting the forest, his surroundings were immediately unfamiliar, and he seemed confused, although less confused when he asked the local guard to show him the map, once the map was updated.

Meanwhile, some of the others across the islands had some tasks they wanted to get out of the way.  Hawkers spent the day trying to open a communication link with Mike Burns, but seemed stumped and depressed.  One of the guard’s noticed his plight, apparently also able to see ghosts, and explained that the initial link had to be made by both people at the same time, but that there was no reason he couldn’t relay messages through the guard system still.  Mike Burns, oblivious of the one way failed communication for now, scoops up a canister of ink, but ends up dying his hand an inky shade in the process.  He is, however, convinced that it works exactly like he would expect ink to.  Vaclav manages to start and stop practicing in the last minutes of the day, getting a bit better at the [arts] while improving his [agility].  Dann Tuggles hunts the animals of the island with his sharpened stick, cooking them up to stay nice and full of [health].  When finished, he scoured the edges of the steps for enough rock to be able to craft a small forge.

LooseLips and anthcul158 strike a deal, and anthcul158 is immediately transported to the westernmost island and given 100 fish, as per her instructions.  LooseLips says that he only needs 10 rubies, which left maybe one or two rubies to admire.  Pocketing the rubies and thanking anthcul158 for the exchange, LooseLips proceeds to sail back to Oregon Island, picking up [150 fish] as he traveled.  On arrival, LooseLips thanked The Awesome Squad for letting him use their ship, and proceeded to print out a recipe that read:

“3 fire, 5 wood, 5 rock, 10 metal, 50 air.”

With exploration in mind, many of everyone else spend their day staking claim on new lands.  RedSunEternal explores the island he is on, which is a fairly normally structured island with three singular mountains scattered equidistant across it.  Each of the mountains seems to have a central cave system, but whether or not there is anything worthwhile in the caves or if they are merely means of shelter he doesn’t determine.  More importantly, exploring the island gives him the [right to name it].  Ryu89’s island seems to be mostly sand, and dotted with small hilly areas that are covered with holes.  Towards the northern part of the island, past some mountainous area, the island looks like it connects to another island, forming a ring in the center.  Exploring the island gave him the [right to name it].  Leocrow’s island has a small point of landing and a mountain with a cave in the side of it.  Further back, there is a forest with trees growing an RPG-level of obnoxiously close to one another, forming a pathway that seems to just spiral inwards.  Begrudging, after Nathanielstan, Leocrow explored the island and gained the [right to name it]. Mike Burns travels to the infamous Nathanielstan to get away from sad memories, and though he safely makes the trip, his surfboard gets torn up pretty badly.  captainawesome reaches his destination and spends the day exploring… but not the island! For some reason captainawesome is really fascinated with exploring himself, which sadly does not yield the right to name it.  All of these people gain some combination of [agility] or [strength].

While Hawkers89 improves his [???], anthcul158 tries to figure out how one innately increases their intelligence.  For some strange reason on these mysterious islands, intelligence was something that people just sort of had, and wasn’t something that could actually improve, which would explain why other people were often so very [stupid].  Thankfully, anthcul158 was already smart, so this wouldn’t be an issue.  She did receive an offer from LooseLips, who was willing to provide her with fish and transportation for her rubies, and was waiting for her reply, which she could (obviously) transmit via guards.  LooseLips, meanwhile, had moved to another island, all while collecting another [125 fish].  Dann Tuggles made some improvements to his shelter, and spent a good majority of his day finding a really nice [stick], because getting just the right stick was very important.  Rayner and Knave worked on creating [shelter] as well, though one ended up with a more suave design while the other might’ve accidentally added a basketball hoop to the exterior.  Disappointed that he couldn’t see anything on the interior island other than some trees and apparently ocean water (in the middle of salt water), Knave decided to focus on his inner [mysterystuff].
